Elmira Huskey Obituary
Chesapeake - Elmira C. Huskey, 96, passed away September 8, 2018. Elmira was born in Pendleton, North Carolina to the late Jimmy and Alice Jones Cox and was the loving wife of 29 years to the late Roy Huskey. Elmira was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bill (JoAnn) and Ed Huskey; grandchildren, Paul H. Miller IV (Robin), Stephanie Amundsen (James), Cindy Thomas (Jamie), and Heather Huskey; great-grandchildren, Kristoffer Amundsen, Noah and Wesley Miller, Wade, Tarryn, Morgan, and Wesley Thomas; sisters, Bobbie Ford and Gloria Williams (Tony Proakis); niece, Elizabeth Ann Woodward (Johnny); and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 6-7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1012 N. Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence to the family.

Dear Huskey family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of Elmira.
One of the sweetest ladies I have ever known my entire life. One of my mother's very best friends. My entire family loved her-Ray and Bonnie Parks, Bonnie Raye, Billy and me. We were always so happy to see her visiting my parents and it was so fun to make Elmira laugh. We're going to miss those wonderful days, but we know we'll see her again one beautiful day.

To The Huskey Family, I am wishing you peace to bring you comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. I worked with Mrs. Huskey at the Greenbrier Sears until she stopped working. I was so sorry to hear about her passing. She was greatly loved and will be missed. I will never forget her kind words of encouragement and wisdom. One day soon before you know it your tears of sorrow will turn into smiles at the memory of happier times. With Deepest Sympathy

Mrs. Husky was the first neighbor my family met back in
the 60's. She was a kind, thoughtful lady. She and her
husband Roy, were the sweetest couple. Sending condolescences
