What a gal!! We quickly became friends upon meeting at a cardboard boat race. Ethel immediately took me into her delightful family circle, and there I comfortably stayed for the past few years. She was an amazing, vibrant woman of huge intelligence and kindness. Even though we did not get together as much as either of us wanted, Ethel still filled my thoughts and heart. Yes, as so many others, I will miss this beautiful lady.

Dear Hillie and Famil(ies). Peter and I extend our sincere condolences to you, Ethel's children, grandchildren, and her extended family. She had such indominable spirit with her ongoing fight against cancer. Ethel had such passion for living life to the fullest whether with all your travel adventures or just gardening. May your memories of all those times sustain you, now and in the future.

I am so sorry to learn of Ethel's passing. My sincere condolences to her partner, Hillie, her children, grandchildren, extended family and dear friends. I admired Ethel for her intelligence, quick wit, her generosity of spirit and her playful approach to life and new adventures. She was an enlightened soul and a courageous woman to the end of her life here on earth. She will light up the stars with her brilliance and she will be missed by all who knew her.
