Fenton took me on a tour when I interviewed with UCC in 1976. He was quite a guy!

Fenton was some kind of fellow. He gave me a tour of the Franklin mill when I first started there in 1976. He knew the Pulp Mill there and at Eastover like the back of his hand. Always knew what was needed at "the mill."
Dot, June, Chris and others: I know you will miss him greatly, as will we all. I cannot get away from Columbia to attend, but am with you in spirit.

Fenton B. Holt gave me the opportunity to help start up a "Green Field Paper Mill" (from the ground up at Eastover, SC) during my paper manufacturing career. He was a firm manager but very likeable once I got to know him. I also got to know his sweet wife Dot and daughter June. God bless his family during their mourning. Tony Lamm, Columbia, SC

Although I can't be with you while you remember your loved one, you're in my thoughts from afar.

June and family. I am so sorry to hear of Fenton's passing. He was quite a character and a good man, too. He was one who would keep me on the edge and thinking, but he was always good to me, too. I'm sure you and your family have many positive memories of Fenton. Hold on to on to the memories of him and his life as they will bring joy to you, even during tough times like these.

June and family, your Dad was a great asset to Eastover. When I first met Fenton he scared me to death because of his voice and no nonsense demeanor. Once I got past that I grew to respect him and his work ethic. He even joked with me a little bit. I pray God's peace for each of you as you go through this valley. I wish I could be there to pay my last respects; but know you are in my thoughts.
