Flora B. Holland

Suffolk - Flora Bland Holland, 84, passed away on August 17, 2016. She was born in Virginia to the late Charlie Allen and Virgie Bland. Flora was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church and its Ruth Bible Class. She was also a member of King's Fork Woman's Club and The Red Hatters. Flora retired from Community Electric Cooperative after more than 35 years of service. Along with her parents, Flora is also predeceased by a brother, Donald Bland.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 ½ years, Clifton Holland; daughters, Pamela Miller (Mark) of Fairfax, VA Wanda Rector (John) of Suffolk, VA, Brenda Mansfield (Cary) of Suffolk, VA; sons Joseph "Joey" C. Holland Jr. (Pam) of Suffolk, VA, Adrian Alan Holland (Lucy) of Suffolk, VA; brothers Allen Tilson Bland of Courtland, VA, Ivan Bland of Courtland, VA, Charles "Pinkie" Bland of Windsor, VA, James Bland of Sedley, VA; Aunt, Helen Bland Stephenson of Windsor, VA; grandchildren Stefanie, Meredith, Haley, Casey, Kelly, Trey, John, Trent, Kate and many other loving family members.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Western Branch Baptist Church, 6952 Old Myrtle Rd, Suffolk with Pastor Micah Voight officiating. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2-4 PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. Suffolk and other times at the home of daughter Brenda Mansfield.
