Florence Vaid, 73, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2022. Born in England to the late Thomas and Mary Ellen Dixon, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Jane Allsopp and brother, Thomas Dixon. She was a loving wife and mother and her greatest joy came from raising her two children. She enjoyed listening to classic rock, watching movies, and crocheting when she was still able to.

Left to cherish her memory: her husband of 53 years, Arun Vaid; daughter, Nina Turner (Duane); son, Yuri Dixon Vaid (Jennifer); grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt, and Liam; and her nephew, Terrance Allsopp (Angela).

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home's chapel at 11AM. Condolences may be offered to the family at:
