Herman Hinton Obituary
Chesapeake - Herman William Hinton, Sr., 84 of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 in Chesapeake General Hospital. He was born in Norfolk County, Virginia to the late Frank Nimmo and Eva Sivels. He accepted Christ at the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. He retired from ILA Local 1248. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Hinton and his sister, Helen Fletcher. He is survived by his children, Diane H. Walker (Herman), Paige Hinton-Mason (David), Herman W. Hinton, Jr. (Yolanda), Ronald Hinton, daughter-in-law, Younde Hinton; siblings, Clarence Sivels, Rosa Morgan, Mary Walker, Doris Bright; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Mary Hinton.. A Homegoing Celebration will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Metropolitan Funeral Service 120 West Berkley Avenue, Norfolk, Va. 23523. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, Virginia. The viewing will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 12 noon 7 p.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Service.
