I'm so sorry to hear of Val's passing. He was a wonderful person and I had the privilege of knowing him during his time at Sentara CarePlex. He was great to be around, always had us laughing, even during trying circumstances. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed.

My husband, Doug, and I were stunned to hear of Val's passing. I got know him well in the operating room when we worked together as an anesthesia team. His excellent skills and insights were much appreciated as well as his sense of humor. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Val. Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to his family.
