Chesapeake - Irene Elizabeth McDonald was born on August 14, 1928 in Chesapeake, Virginia and went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2012. She was survived by three children, Janice, Kenneth and Gail, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three siblings, Randolph, Sylvia and Marvin. Irene was pre-deceased by her husband James P. McDonald, 2 sons, James, Jr. and Maurice and a great grandson. Irene was a distinguished retiree of the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. A viewing will be on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, Chesapeake, Virginia. A life celebration service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Deep Creek Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 1964 Burson Drive Chesapeake, VA 23323. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.jtfisherfuneralservices.com
