James Moss Obituary
Chesapeake - 83, also known as "Junior Moss" went home peacefully to the Lord on July 19, 2014. Born in Norfolk county, known today as Chesapeake, to Carrie and James Moss Sr. Junior served a 50 year tenure with Peltz Marine as well as serving in the U.S. Army as a Staff Srgt. in the Korean War. He was educated in the Chesapeake Public school system and the Norfolk State University vocational program. He was an avid member and Chairman of the trustee board of First Baptist Church West Munden. He was predeceased by his loving spouse of 40 years, Dr. Joyce G. Moss, his parents Carrie and James Moss, Sr., his daughter Baby Girl Moss, and his two sisters; Carrie R. Moss and Otelia M. Williams. He is survived by his three daughters; Valerie, Janice and Gwendolyn; A devoted companion Sylvia Andrews; Six sisters; Marria, Shirley, Rosetta(Winston), Estelle, Courtney(Charlie) and Barbara; Two brothers, David(Peggy), William(Vanessa), Eight Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren. His funeral will be held Monday, at 11am at First Baptist Church West Munden, 1541 Lyons Avenue, Chesapeake, VA. Family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday between 4-6pm at Beach Funeral and Cremation Services 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

Trustee Moss was a kind and loving individual. He loved his church and enjoyed singing. We had some good times at rehearsals. He will be Missed. GOD BLESS YOU FAMILY!
