Randy Reed Obituary

Randy Wayne Reed Sr., 53, of the 3300 block of Harlie Court, went to be with the Lord Dec. 5, 2007, in Virginia Beach. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late Cleveland Baker and Virginia Sprouse Reed and the husband of Earlene Davidson Reed. A retired blacksmith with Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, he attended Raleigh Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Reed was Elvis Presley's No. one fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Wendy Arthur of Chesapeake, Kimberly Basham of Kenova, W.Va., and Teresa Black of Jarvisburg, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Kristen Fulcher of Chesapeake; two sons, Randy Wayne Reed Jr. of Moyock, N.C., and Steven Wayne Reed of Moshiem, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Bieler and her husband Dan of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Joseph Baker and Johnnie Baker, both of Chesapeake, Mark Baker of Richmond and Philip Baker of the Eastern Shore; an uncle, Donnie Sprouse of Staunton, Va.; and a special nephew, Stan Dudley of Halifax County, Virginia. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Danny Lane Reed; a brother, Bill Baker; and a sister, Sandra Onley. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, with the Rev. James Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends in a time of visitation following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Mrs. Earlene Reed in Randy's memory.
