Jean Young Obituary

On December 15, 2020, Jean Young, also known as Mama Jean, quietly slipped away from a short illness into eternal rest. She was born on July 31, 1933. She was predeceased by her husband, Willie Young Sr, mother, Louise Hinton, sisters, Mildred Liverman and Pecola Drew. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Donald Riddick of Baltimore,MD, Willie Young Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC, and locally, Labeeb Salaam (Velma), Curtis Young, Clarence Young (Crystal), Ralph Young, Phyllis Young, Belinda Hampton and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and loving relatives. A visitation will be December 20 from 11am-4pm and funeral December 21 11am at Riddick Funeral Service, livestream link at www.riddickfuneralservices.com with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will not be having a repass following the burial due to COVID-19 safety precautions
