Jeff, you left us too soon. Like a brother from another mother, I had great affection for you. Always, you were able to meet my requests with humor and appreciation. What a mensch. Tears are shed for your farewell, and we hope you are in a better place. Forever, my friend.

We were shocked to hear this terrible news. Jeff was a wonderful, caring man, who treated his customers like family members. We will miss seeing him at the deli. I pray that now he is gone from us that he will be able to see his beloved son another family members and friends thst have passed. THANK YOU JEFF FOR BEING THE MAN THAT YOU WERE. REST IN PEACE.

Dear Lauren...you are the only member of your Dad's family whom I knew, so I am rteaching out to you at this very difficult time. I was shocked, as was everyne else in the communityy, to learn of your dad's sudden death. I saw him in the deli not too long ago, and we enjoyed staying in touch over the years as well as visiting the Deli 58 for the best deli south of NYC and NJ. He was a genuine friend and I shall miss him terribly. I recall when you decided to leave the family business and move to NY. It was very hard work. I don't know what the next plan is for thew deli but I hope you and your family will do everything possible to keep Jeff's dream alive. He will always be remebered and valued as one of the very best guys in the business. Much love to you and your family. Louie

I am so shocked & sorry to hear about Jeff´s passing. He was our first Morning Drive DJ when Downs Broadcasting switched the station it bought from County to 106.9 "The Fox" in the mid- late 80s, a part of the team that made The Fox #1 in its first rating period after the format change. My now 40 year old son loved to spend time in the control room when Jeff was on the air, putting the no longer used carts back into the cabinets. I know he & my husband Steve are probably already planning the format of a Rock N Roll Station in heaven. He won´t be forgotten. The memory of those of us who knew him will remain as a timeless memorial. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jeff always had a greeting and a good word for all his customers! We have enjoyed the Deli from the original location thru the present. May his memory be a blessing.

Super Mensch! A Gutte Neshuma. Spoke with him about my hometown of North Miami Beach where he would visit his grandmother from time to time, eating at Pumperniks, Wolfies, and Corkys during his stays. One of a kind, and will be terribly missed. May his memory always be a blessing.

When I would come into Route 58 for a corned beef sandwich it so reminded me of when I would visit my parents in So Florida and we would go to the delis, Pumpernicks and Sages, there was nothing like these delis, except for Route 58!! Sorry I never met Mr Goldberg because he was always busy working!! May he Rest In Peace!!
