Jeffrey Nelson Turner

Jeffrey Nelson Turner, 67, went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2021. Jeff was a native of Norfolk and a graduate of Granby High School. He worked at Hoy Construction for 25 years as a carpenter and plan coordinator. In retirement, Jeff served on the board of Faith Inclusion Network, where he supported people with disabilities in Hampton Roads faith communities. He was a loving father, faithful friend, and inspiration to many.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Turner, and father, Richard Turner. Jeff is survived by his son, Brian (Kristin) Turner, of Norfolk; son, Peter Turner, of Chesapeake; and grandchildren Elliott, Catherine, Emmaline, and Natalie. He is also survived by his mother, Ellen Turner, of Norfolk; his sister, Janet (Dennis) Casteen, of Chesapeake; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A private burial will be held at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 4 at noon. A reception in the church will follow the service.
