Jerome Czypinski Obituary
Norfolk - Jerome Edward Czypinski, 94, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014.
Born in Chicago, Ill., he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving in the liberation of Europe. He was a Photographer with Ames & Brownley for 25 years and opened Jerome's Studio at Ward's Corner for 25 years specializing in traditional hand colored photographs. Jerome was also an avid fisherman and spent his retirement years creating realistic wood carvings of birds.
Left to cherish Jerome's memory: his wife of 30 years, Jacquelyn; children, Ronald Czypinski and Rebecca Mays Ernest; grandchildren, Marion Middleton and Richard Czypinski; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kyrstin and Mikayla Middleton, Carter and Emma Czypinski; brother-in-law, Jim Vaughan and wife Marilyn; brothers, Chester and Al and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6001 Granby St., Norfolk, VA on Monday, Jan. 6, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the church sanctuary by Pastor Daniel Quiram. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Dr. Chapel.
