John Jelley Obituary
Virginia Beach - John Henry "JJ" Jelley, 61, passed away on June 28, 2014. He was born in Chincoteague, VA to the late Edwin Harold Jelley and Elaine Robinson Jelley. His family takes great solace that when he passed he was doing what he loved, making music. He was an avid musician who played the guitar, bongos, and loved to sing.
He is survived by brothers, Douglas Jelley, Gregory Jelley wife Staci; sister, Ellen Jelley husband Ira Richels; nieces, Gabrielle Jelley, Jessie Jelley, Gabrielle Richels, and nephew, Jack Jelley; soul mate and friend, Whitney Murphy-Farlow; and many friends that made up his extended family. John was a long time employee of Southern Amusement with 30 plus years of loyalty to the company.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel with Rev. Anthony Hash officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
