Joshua Johnson Obituary
Norfolk - On Monday, May 20, 2013, God called home Joshua A. Johnson. Born to Charlene Johnson and Benjamin Newsome on September 19, 1990. Joshua was educated in Norfolk Public Schools. He was employed with Andy's Barbershop, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers Restaurant and, he was a referee for the City of Norfolk.
Along with his parents, Charlene and Benjamin, Joshua is survived by sisters, Caprice and Marie, brothers, Charles, William, Parrell (Dianna), Lil Ben (Alexia), and Jahmal, nieces, a nephew, aunts, uncles, a special friend Virgie Hairston, and a host of other family members and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at First Baptist Church Lambert Point. Graves funeral home handling arrangements.

May 20th , my uncle (Omar) gave me & his mom ( My grandmother) a kiss before he left the house I would´ve never thought that would be the last kiss on the forehead from him , the last time i´d hear his voice & the last time i´d see him alive. Joshua Johnson (Omar) was my favorite uncle , and I was his favorite niece I went everywhere with him you´ll see him driving & see a little girl in the back seat which was me , he taught me how to ride a bike & do other things that i can´t remember at the moment , i wished we could´ve made more memories but time wasn´t on our side , so i´m writing this to say i miss you and love you uncle Omar & your name will NEVER be forgotten as long as i´m alive , you are FOREVER in our hearts & we miss you. may you rest in peace.

Ahmar,no words can express how we feel as a family right now. Yet, I can not help, but to take comfort in knowing that you are safe in the arms of Jesus. I don't doubt that at all!!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Omar at Andy's years ago when he was the shop boy. He was always a very respectful and pleasant young man. I pray that the Lord gives comfort to his family and friends. God Bless.
