Judy Caffey Obituary

Judy Laverne Caffey CHESAPEAKE - Judy Laverne Caffey, 62, entered into eternal rest to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. She was born May 30, 1948 in Suffolk, to the late Thomas and Doretha Williams and predeceased by a beloved sister, Geraldine Dabney. She was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 32 years of service and a member of Fairwood Agape Baptist Church in Portsmouth. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1966 and obtained an associate degree from Tidewater Community College. Mrs. Caffey is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, George Caffey; two daughters, Vandelyn Hodges (Keith), Valerie Caffey; grandson, Joel Caffey; seven siblings, Leon, Priscilla, Melvin (Stylie), Clem, Michael (Susan), Audrey, Beverly (Milton); brother-in- law, James Dabney and a host of loving family and friends. A life celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 28, at East End Baptist Church, 523 E. Washington St., Suffolk. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk.
