Julie McCarthy Obituary
Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of Myles M. Callis and the late Nancy P. Callis. Julie was also predeceased by her husband, Dale W. McCarthy. Julie worked for Beacon Health Options, which became Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, as a Senior Pricing Analyst. She will be remembered for her work ethic, grit and determination to follow through and complete even the most difficult tasks. Most of all, she will be remembered for her forgiving heart, tenacity and her willingness to lend an ear, or to provide support however she could.
Including her father, Julie is survived by her son, Kayleb W. Coker; her daughter, Daylin K. McCarthy; her sister, Jill Callis, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church Cemetery. A celebration of Julie's life will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Julie K. McCarthy Memorial Fund, for the future benefit of her daughter, Daylin.

We will keep Julie's memory alive by cherishing all the moments of laughter and fun that we shared together through the years.
