Kathy Harris Obituary
Kathy was happily married to her husband Michael for almost 37 years who loved and cared for her until the end. She was a loving mother to Jeremy, Jonathan, and Lauren, and a proud grandmother to Wesley. Also, she adored her 3 labradoodles.
Kathy was the youngest of four children and is survived by her three siblings Joyce, Mark(Lori), and Vicky(John).
Kathy graduated from the University of Richmond. She was a diligent and hard worker who took pride in her job as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Pembroke Commercial Realty for 34 years.
Kathy was the most giving and loving woman. She was a caring individual who touched all the lives who knew her. She could light up a room with her infectious smile.
Kathy will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts.
We welcome all friends to a memorial service of Kathy's life that will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home - Southside Chapel at 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM.

Kathy was the kind of friend and neighbor that always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. Her gift was to brighten your day and make you smile. Every dog in the world loved Kathy and as we know, dogs can judge character. We will miss her so much.

Kathy was the first person I saw when I entered Pembroke's doors almost 25 yrs. ago and she came to interview me with such a big smile immediately making me feel comfortable. She hired me on the spot and, though she was my boss, we became close friends as the years passed. I can truly say I could not have had a better person to work for and I always told her that. She was easy going but such a hard worker. I retired over
1 1/2 yrs. ago but we continued to see each other meeting for lunch and texting checking up on life. I will miss her so much and loved every bit of her. Life cheated all of us by taking her way too soon. What a terrible loss to all who were lucky enough to know her. To you Mike, Jeremy, Jonathan and Lauren I have your deepest sorrows with me and you will continue in my prayers that you will be able to face each day without her. My love to each of you.

Kathy welcomed us into her family when we moved in next door to them 25 years ago. Even after we moved away we stayed in touch. Met for breakfast or lunch I am truly going to miss this beautiful soul. But I will see her again one day. My heart breaks for all of her family. She was taken too soon. Till we meet again!

Kathy has been much more than a co-worker since she came to our company over 30 years ago. She was a wonderful friend and confidante who always greeted everyone with a smile. She was always upbeat and positive, even during tough times. I will miss her every day and I send my prayers and condolences to her family.
