Larry Magaddino Obituary
Virginia Beach - Larry A. Magaddino, passed peacefully in his home early Saturday morning, with his wife Nancy at his side. He was born June 8, 1948 to Vito and Nona Magaddino. Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years where he retired. Larry was a gifted athlete, he excelled at all sports, but his main two loves were golf and pool.
He has survived by his loving wife Nancy Magaddino; one daughter LaMonica White; two granddaughters Mailee Payne and Samantha White; brother Bruce and wife Dee Magaddino; a special sister- in-law Liz Lawhorn and husband and best friend Larry; a wonderful mother- in- law, Nellie Miller; and two brother-in-laws, Sammy Miller and wife Patricia, and Timmy Miller and wife Debbie.
A visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd, on Wednesday from at 6:00pm until 7:30pm. There will be a viewing on Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church, 419 Glenrock Rd, Norfolk at 6:00pm with a service at 7:00pm and reception to follow.
Seeing the battle that her grandfather went through the past couple of years has inspired his eldest granddaughter Mailee Payne to start nursing school. Larry's wishes were to see her graduate nursing school and succeed in her career. In lieu of flowers the family asks for Larry's wishes to be carried out, and have donations be made out to Mailee Payne, c/o Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 to help her graduate school and start her career.
