Larry Ritch Obituary
Chesapeake - Larry Parks Ritch, 59, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. He was a native of Norfolk, Virginia and a lifetime resident of Hampton Roads. He was the son of the late James Taylor Ritch, Sr. and Eleanor Irene Gilbert Ritch. He was preceded in death by his son Larry Parks Ritch, Jr. and his brother, James Taylor Ritch.
Larry was a graduate and football player for Kempsville, High School and a United States Marine Corp. Veteran. He was the President and owner of Cape Fear Trucking. He was a lifetime truck and car enthusiast and a loving husband, father and friend.
Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Cindy White Ritch and his daughter Samantha Irene Ritch both of Chesapeake, his son, Jason M. Pruss and his wife Michelle of Newport News, Virginia and his sister and brother, Carole R. Barry and her husband Thomas of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Robert G. Ritch of Kauai, Hawaii, his sister-in-law Cora Ritch of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The Reverend Gay Hall will officiate.
The family will receive friends in the Norfolk chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cure PSP for CBD, 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201, Timonium, MD, 21093 or at curepsp.org.
