Leon Evans Obituary
Portsmouth - 61, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2015 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Leon was an Educator, a man of God and the Associate Pastor of Tidewater Bible Temple Kingdom Church. He was predeceased b his father, Leon Evans Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Norma Shields; three children, four grandchildren, five uncles and four aunts. A funeral Service will be held, 11 am, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Tidewater Bibleway Temple Kingdom Church, Portsmouth, VA., a wake service will be held 6pm to 7pm on Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Portsmouth Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to Outreach Ministries of Tidewater Bibleway Temple Kingdom Church.

Dear Norma,
We are very saddened to learn of the loss of your beloved son, Leon. You have the consolation of knowing that he lived a life of service to the Lord and His people; may he now share in the reward that God has promised to those who love Him!
We thank you for being with us and supporting us when we lost our mother and our aunts. You can be assured that the Lord will now take care of you, hold you in His hand, and sustain you until we are all reunited in glory with Leon and all of our departed loved ones!

The Word of God was Lived, Preached and Declared through the Life of this Faithful Servant. Pastor Evans you touched our lives in a profound way. You made us feel encouraged in every season. To Mother Shields we Love you, thank You for sharing your son with us. To Bishop Michael J. Rogers and our Kingdom Church Family we love you be encouraged in Jesus Name.
