Lewahana Johnson Obituary

Lewahana Johnson PORTSMOUTH - Lewahana "Jane" Johnson of the 500 block of Viking St. quietly passed away at Portsmouth Naval Regional Medical Center Dec. 4, 2009. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Julius Johnson Jr. in May 2002. Jane was a member of First Baptist Taylorsville Church and was a member of the Arabia Court No. 23, Daughter of Isis. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be forever cherished and missed. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Cyneese L. Johnson of Portsmouth; two sons, Julius Johnson III of Norfolk and Johnny L. Johnson and wife Traci of Culpeper; grandchildren, Breqlyne Cyneese Johnson and Jonathan B. Johnson, both of Culpeper, and Evan Holland Johnson of Norfolk; two sisters, Cyneese Wilkins and June Robin Bess, both of Portsmouth; one brother, Mondamin Wilkins of Chicago; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held today, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Corprew Funeral Home, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth. Family and friends may begin viewing at noon. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 11, at noon in First Baptist Taylorsville Church with the Rev. Wynn presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens located at 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on the day of the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Corprew Funeral Home in Portsmouth and Horizon Funeral Home in Culpeper.
