Linda Kiraly Obituary

Linda P. Kiraly

Virginia Beach - Linda Paul Kiraly passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of her 70th birthday on March 28, 2017. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jim Kiraly, son Daniel Love and his wife Chrissy, son Dave Love and his wife Inga, and 4 grandsons, Danny, Ryan, Ethan and Sebastian.

She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel Paul and Grace Connell Paul, and sister Sharon A. Paul.

She was a graduate of Princess Anne High School and continued to remain close with her school friends throughout her life. She regularly met with her "PA Babes" for dinners and celebrations and cherished their friendship.

After graduating from DePaul School of Nursing in 1968, she enjoyed her career as a nurse making an immeasurable impact on patients, their families and the doctors she worked with. She also had a close bond with her nursing school classmates, and continued that bond throughout her life, vacationing with them each year, sharing in celebrations and supporting them in difficult times. They were like sisters and their love meant very much to Linda.

She was a loved and respected mother and grandmother, raising two sons to be wonderful men with compassion, integrity, strength and a sense of humor. Her sons in turn became fathers to her grandchildren who she undoubtedly loved with all her heart. Her legacy will live on through them.

She was a devoted wife to Jim "Jimbo" Kiraly and supported him passionately and loved him unconditionally. Their bond was evident to anyone who met them. Together they met many lifelong friends whether it was while vacationing in Jamaica, cruising the Caribbean, or in their active membership of the Parrothead Club of Tidewater.

The friends and family Linda leaves behind are heartbroken. Her time here was too short. But they will continue to cherish the wonderful memories they will always have of her generous and loving spirit. It's believed that she has found Paradise and is sitting on a warm beach in her flip flops waiting patiently for her loving family and friends to join her.

A casual celebration of "A Life Well-Lived" for friends and family of Linda will be held at the Attic at Waterman's on Saturday April 22 from 2-6 at 415 Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association c/o PHCoT Charities PO Box 16078 Chesapeake, VA 23328 or at www.alz.org

We are so sad to hear of Linda's passing. After attending the "Life well Lived" ceremony on Saturday, we understand how much she was loved and will be missed by all. We are honored to know her and "Jimbo" thru their membership in the Tidewater Browns Backers. Our condolences go out to all the family and friends she left behind too young. Much Love <3

My condolences to Jimbo and the family. Linda was an extraordinary woman who had a fantastic sense of humor. She lived life to the fullest and was a great example for others to do the same! I had wonderful time working with her at Virginia Beach Surgery before she retired. Linda was a caring and compassionate nurse who always managed to calm nervous patients before procedures. With the office team, she had endless funny stories to tell and had us all laughing to tears! I am happy I had a chance to get to know her. She will be missed, but she left a lasting impression of a life well-spent. May the happy memories sustain you during this time of grief and to provide you with laughter and love in the future.

We are so sorry to hear about Linda. She was a sweetheart and will be missed!

Linda and I were BBAs (Best Buddies Always) all through our high school years. She sent me this poem and note just before I moved to Texas in '77.

I graduated from DePaul School of Nursing with Linda back in the day! So long ago, but memories of those days that will not be forgotten. If I remember correctly, she pierced my ears when we were Freshmen - a wine cork (not sure where that came from!) and a needle from one of the units in the hospital were used. My ears were frozen with ice cubes and then the procedure began!! I have the same pierced ears that Linda performed on me about 50 years ago. The nuns found out and Linda's ear-piercing days were over! So many fond memories I have of her from our yearly reunions . . she will truly be missed, but never forgotten. Much love to her family.
