Lossie Peele Obituary

Lossie M. Peele CHESAPEAKE - Lossie M. Peele, 62, of the 900 block of Guenevere Court, died Oct. 23, 2009, in her residence. Born in Southampton County, Virginia, she was a member of Little Grove Baptist Church, Huntersville, Suffolk. She is survived by her husband, Raymond D. Peele; two daughters, Sherry Peele- Brown (Booker T.) of Detroit, Shavon Peele of Chesapeake; one brother, Raymond L. Harris of Roxbury, Mass.; three grandchildren, Erika, Toni (Omar) and Juwuana; two great-grandchildren, Honnesty and Omari; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Virginia Harris; father, Willis Harris Sr.; and a brother, Willis Harris Jr. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. in Little Grove Baptist Church, Suffolk, with the Rev. Ralph Richardson presiding. Viewing was held Tuesday, Oct. 27, at noon. The family will be at the residence. The body will be in the church today at 10 a.m.
