Margaret Phelps Dennison Morton passed away March 24, 2021 at the age of 91. Margaret was born to the late Roland F. and Esther Johnson Phelps. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, H. B. Dennison and Gordon M. Morton, Sr. Margaret was a faithful member for many years at Raleigh Heights Baptist Church and most recently a member of Community United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Dennison (Mary Jane) and Lynn Dennison Klinger (Karl); and her three grandchildren, Zachary (Jessica), Wil (Allison) and Esther (Ryan); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Margaret was a career woman, serving for many years at both The Center Shops and Sewell Dalton Law Firm. In her retirement (at 80 years old), she volunteered at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital and served on the Auxiliary Board. Margaret was my supervisor at Sewell Dalton. I thought she was "strictly top drawer" and a wonderful lady. I know she is missed by many and loved by all, including me. My best to her family. I lost my partner of 35 years last year so I know that grief takes as long as it takes. But memories & gratitude for everything that person meant to us. Miss you Mrs. Dennison Morton! I'll remember how nicely you always treated me.

She was a lovely lady, wonderful hostess and very kind. I knew her thru the Widowed Person group about 25 years ago. My condolences to her family.
