Marietta Connor Obituary

Marietta Dayton Connor passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 3 after a long illness. She was born on December 3, 1933 in Montrose, PA. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in the Fairfield Garden Club, the Westminster Canterbury Red Hat Society, and for several years was a volunteer for the City of Virginia Beach. In 1955 she earned a degree in Accounting from Bowling Green university and worked as an accountant for most of her adult life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George W. Connor. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pat & Greg Evans and Lynn & Bob Merring, and her grandchildren, Kyle and Shelby Evans.
Funeral services will be held Sunday June 13, at 2:00pm, at Providence Presbyterian Church, located at 5497 Providence Rd, Virginia Beach. vacremationsociety.com.
