I got to know Mark as the Instructor in my Night School Electrical classes at the Shipyard, quite a few years ago. He was a wonderful teacher, and full of knowledge. He made learning easy. This was evident from the praise of my work by the Electrical Inspector when I wired my new garage. He was also always available when I had questions, even long after I had finished taking the classes. I even got to work along side of Mark on a job that I had called him in to perform at my church. He was just a great person to talk to and be around. I am greatly shocked to hear that he has left this earth so soon, but God has a plan, and I know I will see him again some day. I pray for God's strength and comfort for his wife and the whole family during this difficult time.

Mark was a TRUE gentleman. He always treated everyone with the kind of respect he would want to receive. His smile and laughter were infectious. As my close shipyard brother he was my go-to person when I needed guidance with an electrical problem. He was someone I could talk to about anything. He was part of a true team when we worked to bring all the vaults together under one department. As we continue with our day to day lives, we will feel the void, but will always remember this kind sole.
