Michael Durant Obituary

Michael A. Durant

Virginia Beach - Michael A. Durant, 69, of Virginia Beach, passed away on May 16, 2018, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Alyce Durant. Michael retired as a Chief Petty Officer, after 20 years in the Navy. He enjoyed motorcycling, sailing and amateur radio.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary, daughter Kathleen, son-in-law JP Sutphin, brothers David (Minnie P.) and Chris, nieces and nephews.

With respect to Michael's wishes, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Although we are saddened by Michael's passing, his family takes comfort in the fact that he is no longer in pain.
