Virginia Beach - Michael "Mike" Steven Hall, recently of Brighton,MI and longtime resident of Virginia Beach,VA left us unexpectedly on July 14, 2015 at the age of 66 from a heart attack. ?In addition to Vivian, his beloved wife whom he doted over for 48 years, Mike is survived by his children, Michael Kevin (Debbie) Hall and Gwynn Michele (Jay Trinder) Trinder; grandchildren, James Cole Trinder, Michael Carstairs Trinder, and Josie Elise Hall as well as extended family and a host of dear friends.! Preceded in death by his parents Charles Franklin Hall and Josephine Antoinette (Bruzzo) Hall. Mike grew up an only child of loving parents who, like all of us, had flaws. He grew up quick, and became a man while in his youth. His compassion and caring for others were developed early. Mike epitomized commitment, sincerity and honesty. Qualities that Vivian, truly his partner in life, helped him develop. At the tender age of 12 they met and from then on would share life's adventures. Together they created a family filled with love and honesty. A more loving man you cannot imagine. Mike and Vivian were married at 18, and blessed soon thereafter with Michael Kevin. And with that he began a 32 year career in the telecommunication industry. He started as a lineman, climbing poles; he did not stop climbing until he had reached the highest levels of management. To say Mike was dependable and steady is an understatement, while the company name may have changed, or sold, or busted up in antitrust suits, Mike stayed committed through to retirement. We can declare Mike was a talented musician, a great craftsman, a gifted leader, but more than anything Mike was there. He was a staple, a literal and figurative crutch that all of his family members used and needed. Mike never met someone he didn't know. He loved to tell stories; his eyes would twinkle, and a crooked smile would take over his face, and you knew you were in for a good time. Mike was a lot of things to a lot of people, a "dapper dan" through school, a dependable colleague, a loving husband, and a devoted father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Funeral Service to be held from Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5051 Pleasant Valley Rd., Brighton on Saturday, July 18 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. The. Rev. Dale E. Hedblad to officiate. Cremation will follow.
