Michael, Michael, Michael, you gave everything your all. Your love of Family, of God, of Friends and of work is missed so much. You could always counsel with correctness and with a sidebar of humor. Life of those who were near you were blessed with a straight shooting guy. You are greatly missed.

Mike loved his Family, his country, his God and gardening. Not necessarily in that order. Few things took his laugh and smile away. His character painted life as it is, not as we would like it to be. He was an analogist.
He was a very good friend and will be missed. Chippokes, was a new and frequent discovery for him. Solitude from the life of the burbs.

To Mike's Family,

My sincere condolences. I am just learning that Mike is gone and it leaves a big hole in the heart of the Four Amigos of Master Gardening. Russ, Juliet, Mike and I befriended in the MG training and the laughs never stopped. Mike's sense of humor and gardening expertise made our volunteering together a joy.

Mike casts a wonderful aura around those he is nears...a kind, smart, funny man I will miss dearly. I hope you are finding the strength to keep going.

Juliet is currently hiking the Appalachian Trail but sends her heartfelt condolences. We both are stunned and saddened.

We have had the pleasure of viewing Mike's wonderful work with Grace's Garden on every walk from Castleton through Pine Ridge. Last evening, on our daily stroll, we were so touched to see the contributions of live plants and greenery for the continuation of his passion. I hope the Pine Ridge Civic League will chose to honor Mike by renaming the entrance area and by maintaining his efforts. With our sincere sympathy,
Lori and Jim Attwood

As a long time resident of Pine Ridge, I have had the privilage of watching Mike create a beautiful, peaceful garden area for our neighborhood. Grace Garden is a tribute to Mike's Mother and to his own dedication and hard work. His efforts have had much more of an impact on so many people, more than he was ever aware of. My most sincere sympathy and prayers go out to his family.

I grew up in the house behind Mike. I will miss running into him at the garden section of one of the many home improvement stores as well as stoping to talk with him at the front of the neighborhood on my way to visit my parents. Thanks for everything you taught me.....

It is never easy to lose a loved one so unexpectantly. I hope your pain will heal and you can celebrate the life of the wonderful person that Mike was. A life of devotion, love, hard work and kindness. I can only imagine that God needed someone to build gorgeous gardens, lovely landscapes and to spread some kindness!! My sympathies and prayers are for you and your family during this difficult time.

Words are inadequate to express my shock and sadness in learning of Mike's death. He was a great guy, and one of my favorite people on the planet. Anyone who was privileged to know him will never forget his hearty laugh and great sense of humor. I have several camelias in the yard that he gave me as cuttings - he was a terrifc gardener. Our hearts are heavy, as we keep you, his family that he loved above all else, in our thoughts and prayers.
