Michael Taruc Parsley

Chesapeake - Michael Taruc Parsley, 41, died Monday, January 2, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a native of Norfolk, Virginia and was the son of Luther Ray Parsley, Jr. and Teofila Taruc Parsley.

He graduated from Catholic High School and ECPI with a degree in Computer Graphics. He was a Client Services Representative with LifeNet Health, where he was employed for 10 years and was an aspiring writer.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Christina Renee Parsley and his 3 year old son, Connor Michael Parsley both of Chesapeake, his parents, three brothers; Luther Ray Parsley, III of Norfolk, John Oliver Parsley of Maui, Hawaii, Jerry Parsley of Chesapeake, his nephew, Lachlan Rex Parsley of Chesapeake and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Rosary will be recited by Father Anthony Forte in the Funeral Home on Friday January 6, 2017 at 5:30pm.

A memorial service will be held in the Chesapeake chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 1416 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA at 6pm on Friday January 6, 2017. John Sutton will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home following the funeral service.

Memorial donations may be sent to The LifeNet Health Foundation in Memory of Mike or to CHKD or Saint Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Connor Parsley. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.hdoliver.com

I had the honor of knowing Michael over the past seven years. My company partners with LNH and I am a sales rep. He was amazing! Always calm, warm, kind and smart. He affected countless people. It takes a special person to have such a profound impact over the phone. Michael did that. Although I never saw him in person, I know how much he loved his family.
