Natalie Apple Obituary

Natalie Rosenberg APPLE Natalie Rosenberg Apple was born on September 24th, 1923 to Minnie and Don Rosenberg in Portland, Oregon. Natalie met her husband, Marvin, at an AZA dance in Seattle and that was the beginning of a love affair that lasted 66 years. She will be remembered as a consummate homemaker and mother who devoted her life to making a lovely home, cooking wonderful meals and raising her three children. She always put her family first. Mom was President of Sisterhood at Temple in Tacoma WA. She had many friends and was a generous, loving person to everyone she knew. Our mother was one smart woman who was always aware of what was going on in the world and followed the news closely whether it was politics or baseball scores. She had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor that she maintained right up to the end of her life. Mom was strikingly beautiful woman and worked as model in her earlier years as well as a saleslady for "Helen's of Course" in Seattle. She loved to travel, attend the theatre, symphony and ballet, and also played golf and tennis - which she excelled at. Along with her husband, Marvin, mom is survived by her daughters, Janice (Peter) Horton, Karen (Jim) Graber, her son, Richard (Nadine) Apple, nine grandchildren: Eric, Jason, Steven, Aaron, Renee, Michelle, Rachael, Kevin, Alex and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Gabriel. We will love and miss her forever. She was our true Matriarch! Funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m., Thursday, January 29, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1215-145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007; 425.746.1400.
