Norma Huffnagle Dudley VIRGINIA BEACH - Norma Catherine Huffnagle Dudley passed away at the age of 85, Dec. 1, 2008, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Westmont, N.J., to the late Joseph and Florence Huffnagle she moved to Virginia Beach in 1945. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Norma attended Moore Institute of Art in Philadelphia, was an artist member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and had won many awards. She was associated with the Chesapeake Bay Watercolorists, Virginia Watercolor Society and Art Alliance. She was a well-known local artist and exhibited in the Boardwalk Art Show, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake Public libraries, Cape Henry Collegiate, Norfolk Academy, Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School, Nansemond Suffolk Academy, Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital, Huff Poole and Mahoney and numerous other places through the years. Norma loved art and her family will always be able to see the world through her eyes in the beautiful paintings she left behind. Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Winfred U. Dudley; son, William Brian Dudley; grandson, George Curtis Acker Jr.; and two brothers, Dr. J. Vincent Huffnagle Jr. and Robert V. Fullmer. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn D. Acker and husband George and son, Allen "Craig" Dudley and wife Debbie, all of Virginia Beach. She is survived by five grandchildren, Kimberly M. Acker, Michelle A. Babington (Mike), Amy R. Baker (Chris) of Maple, N.C., Emily S. Dudley, Kaylee N. Dudley; and five great-grandchildren, Colton R. Baker, Ashley L. Lindsey, Mary E. White, Savannaha L. Babington and Brittany M. Babington. Norma will live forever in our hearts and she was the best Mom, grandma, tiny grandma and great-grandma anyone could ask for and will be remembered, loved and missed immensely. A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery with Pastor James C. Ullian officiating. The family received friends yesterday from 6 to 8 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
