Pat was one of the first people to greet me when I moved to Atlantic Shores. She was warm, funny and a delightful presence. She will be missed and remembered with much affection.

It is with deep sadness that I heard about the passing of Pat. I had the honor and pleasure of teaching with Pat at Cox High School. And, after I retired in 2006, I got to continue my friendship with Pat through the monthly luncheons for Cox retirees and through the programs put on by the Tidewater Foreign Policy Association each January-February. Pat was always seeking to further and expand her education. I always remember one story about Pat when she was teaching at Cox. She had had a heart catherization. So, she brought in a Geiger Counter so the students could measure the radiation in her body from the chemicals used in the cath. What a great way to teach. Since we no longer live in the Tidewater Area, we will not be able to attend Pat's memorial service, but we will be there in spirit.
