Paul Forrer Obituary
Born February 5, 1935 in the Netherlands, he grew up during World War II, one of six children to Herman Forrer and Ida Kwak. After serving in the Dutch Marines in New Guinea, in 1960 he took a passenger ship to New York and settled in New Jersey. After many moves, he finally called Massachusetts "home." Paul lived a full life, three actually. He married Judith Winfield and had daughters, Sonja Forrer Garringer (Rick), VA and Erika Forrer McCormick (John), VA. He married Anne Lane MA and had Lane Forrer (Lucy), Equador. He had Olivier Forrer and Hunter Forrer with his third wife, Jane Buettner, MA. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Ashlea-Rae Hendricks (Myles) and Javier Wright (Luke), VA; Emily McCormick and Jenna McCormick, NC; his siblings, Hedwig Cousoulis, FL, Engelien Forrer, Scotland, and Atie Zentfeld (Nico) CO and many relatives in Holland.
Throughout his life he maintained an infectiously positive outlook making everyone around him smile with his stories and songs. He saw more of the world than most and never lost his desire to go from place to place, country to country. He was an avid reader of non-fiction and with his love of learning, it's no surprise he was a top sales regional manager for Encyclopaedia Britannica.
But family was his rock. He loved them all and they loved him back. He was a patriarch with a motherly touch, always yearning for the success and happiness of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends far and wide.

Uncle Paul. You will be missed. My favorite memory of you was the Christmas vacation 1972. You showed up at our house in New Jersey and announced that you were taking me. Sonja and Erica to Disney World. It was a blast. I will never forget the fun we all had, and especially singing American Pie while you drove, the VW van, down the shoulder of a highway because you couldn't wait. Your girls needed to get to the happiest place on earth!!
