Paul Reddick Hedges

Paul Reddick Hedges, age 66, went home to be with Jesus on December 22, 2021. Paul was born in La Grange Park, Illinois and has been a resident of Chesapeake, VA since 1986. He is the loving father of Laura Elliott and husband Donny, and Matthew Hedges and wife Megan, and grandfather to nine grandchildren. He is survived by many great friends in the Hampton Roads area and around the world. His heart for service was seen in missionary work in Africa and racial reconciliation work in Virginia. His life transcended groups, socioeconomics, and religions. An alumnus of the first graduating class of the Regent University Law School, Paul strived to honor his Lord by helping the poor and underserved in his law practice for over 30 years. He was a trusted confidant and advisor to governors and the forgotten. He strived to foster mercy and justice in upholding the law of the state and nation he loved. Above all, he lived and led with the peace and love of Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed. His impact will be felt for years to come. May we all serve our communities and each other as he did.
