Philip R. "Randy" Gambill

Philip R. Gambill VIRGINIA BEACH - Philip R. "Randy" Gambill, 59, passed away March 5, 2009, at his residence. He was a faithful husband, a devoted father and grandfather. Randy was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church. He was most recently employed at the Greenwich Road Holiday Inn, worked for many years as a sign mechanic at Cardinal Sign, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved the Yankees, the Redskins and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Gambill and brother, Stephen. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynne Rowley Gambill; daughter, Sarah; granddaughter, his pride and joy, Bailey; brother, Patrick; father-in-law, Raymond Rowley; sisters-in-law, Donna Tanner and husband Clark and Susan Rowley and fiancé Jim Bunitsky; brother-in-law, Steve Rowley and girlfriend Antje Self; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ Presbyterian Church.
