Pierre Birtz Obituary
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathleen, their 2 children: Philip Birtz and Heidi Spagnuolo (spouse Vinny); 2 grandchildren: Rachel and Lauren Spagnuolo; and his 2 siblings: Michelin Kramer and Jean Birtz (spouse Sharman).
A visitation will take place from 6-8pm; Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at H D Oliver Funeral Apartments, 2002 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am; Thursday, February 1, 2024 at St Nicholas Catholic Church, 712 Little Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Interment will follow in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery.
Following the interment, the family will be hosting a reception at the Social Hall of St Nicholas Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences may be to the family at hdoliver.com.

Our sincere condoleances,
Kathleen, I don't know if you remember us, Luke and Nadia, Belgians in Crete, Greece. I heard this summer from Chris Crescini that Pierre had passed away.
He was one of my best friends in my life. I am so sorry.

Pierre was definitely a man among men. His personality and charisma were always on display. I first met him in 1996 when I went to work at Eagle Haven and have enjoyed his friendship ever since. Attributes too long to list, suffice to say he will be missed. A sad time for anyone that had the pleasure of his company!!!

Philip and family, I'm so heartbroken to hear of Pierre's passing. I always thought so highly of him. He was such a good friend to my brother Lonnie, and just a genuinely nice and kind man, always something nice to say. He loved you and all of his family. You have my deepest sympathy.
