Rebecca Warren Obituary
Waverly - Rebecca Faison Warren, 91, of Waverly, VA passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Iola Faison; her husband, Sam P. Warren; a son, James Robert Warren, and grandson, Samuel Ray Warren. Rebecca kept the home fires burning on the farm her entire life. She was a great care giver to many family members over the years. She graduated from Waverly High School and was a life-long member of the Waverly Congregational Christian Church where she was a choir member for many years.
She is survived by a son, Raymond L. Warren, (Donna); daughter, Shirley Rebecca Warren; grandchildren, Melinda Warren, Stephen Warren, Derek Warren, Genese Warren, Lynne Lyman and Margaret Logas; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel from 6 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Waverly Congregational Christian Church, 123 Coppahaunk Ave, Waverly, VA 23890 with Pastor Chuck Willman officiating. Interment will follow in Waverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Waverly Congregational Christian Church Memorial fund, 34299 Walnut Hill Rd., Waverly, VA 23890. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.

Shirley and Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your mother. We know that God only takes the best. Your mom lived a good life and loved her family. I know you will miss her, but she will always be in your heart. I will continue to pray for the family. We know that weeping endures for the night, but joy cometh in the morning. Take comfort in knowing that she now rest in the arms of our Savior. Much love to you Shirley and I will be here for you, if you need anything. God Bless!
