Ruby Whitley Obituary

Ruby L. Whitley BUTLER, Ga. - Ruby L. Whitley, 73, formerly of Mauk, Ga., passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2009. Mrs. Whitley was the mother of Carey E. Whitley of Smithfield, and is also survived by a daughter and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends today, Sept. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Edwards-McLeighton Funeral Home, Butler, Ga. A service celebrating Ruby's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, in Mauk Baptist Church. Burial will follow. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502 or to Zion United Methodist Church, Bell Choir, P.O. Box 240, Seaford, VA 23696. Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, and Edwards-McLeighton Funeral Home, Butler, Ga.
