You were & still a glow of friendship, warmth & love. A flower of such beauty. We will miss seeing you as you continue to shine His goodness. That smile will stay with us until we meet you in glory. Thank you LORD for this beautiful flower that blossomed with every contact. What a joy & a hope she displayed of Your Love.

Ruth was one of the most wonderful people I've ever known. We were working together at Robbies when my wife and I got married 49 years ago. We rented her upstairs apartment our first year and Ruth and I would alternate days driving to work at Robbies. She continued our friendship after I left Robbies to go to college and remained a lifetime friend. I always looked forward to her annual Christmas letter and marveled at how she still served the Lord in her advanced years. My wife and I both always looked forward to the hugs we knew we would get when she came to visit us at tax time each year. I'm thankful to know we'll get to see her again some day.

I have so many great memories of Mrs. Skelton from attending Highland Baptist when I was growing up. She was such a kind and warm hearted person.

May God Bless her family during this time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ruth when she was a cashier at Robertson´s Hardware in downtown Portsmouth and again when she was at the High Street location. She was caring and loyal. A valued associate for all of her 40 years at Robbie´s. Her family can be proud of her life and her giving to others. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
