Savannah Scheil Obituary

Savannah N. Scheil
Windsor - Savannah Nichole Scheil, 17, passed away April 21, 2013. She was born in Charleston, SC the daughter of Scott James Scheil and Christine Lee Eldridge Davy. She was a Senior at Windsor High School where she was a cheerleader since 8th grade. Savannah attended Pruden Vocation for veterinary assistant with dreams of becoming a marine biologist. She also completed her 10 years at Windsor School of Dance and volunteered with Edmarc, Hospice for Children. Savannah's encouraging attitude helped bring her squad to the state Cheer Competition, leading her to an award of "Best Team Player". Savannah touched the heart and soul of every single person she ever met, loved by so many; always with a smile on her face. She would bend an ear to who ever needed it, gave encouragement, and hugging anyone in need. She has left a hole in the hearts of so many and will never be forgotten, born into this world as our little angel from heaven and she is now with the lord as a saved angel of God. Savannah was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Irvin James Scheil. She is survived by her mother, Christine Lee Eldridge Davy (Daniel Pabon), father, Scott James Scheil (Michelle Rizzatti); brothers, Nicholas Scott Scheil and Tristan Scott Raines; maternal great grandmother, Elva Eldridge; maternal grandparents, Clinton and Cozette Eldridge; paternal grandparents, Donetta and Larry Nye; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m. at Windsor High School with Rev. T.A. Powell officiating. Coming up on Savannah's seventh angel anniversary and I will say this... as her Mother, I am so thankful for all the support and love her Father, Scott, and I have received over the years. I tend to migrate here to grieve, but I don't really grieve. Yes, the tears fall, because I miss hearing her voice, tickling her back and hearing her bubbly voice, watching her cheer, seeing her spend her last dollar she earned on her brother's birthday present. But what really happens is I always feel her here with me, every day, in my heart, and so she is with us. All of us!!! She is always here in my heart and I know God needed her in Heaven more than we need her here on Earth. I don't want to be selfish, so for now, I thank everyone for allowing our girl to be in Heaven, in peace, and for lifting up our hearts and spirits when we need it. God bless you all.

To Savannah's precious family. Having taught Savannah in 8th grade Science, my heart is broken and my words at a loss. I will forever remember her smile, bubbly personality, and her genuine concern for people.

She often referred to herself as, "Mr Barnes' favorite": even when meeting my wife at a school dance. My wife immediately fell in love with her as well. Today is not about the tragedy; today is about the miracle of her life!

We do not mourn like those who have no hope for we shall see her again. Until then smile, cheer, and dance, dance, dance on streets of gold Savannah.

You were truly one of my favorites, I will never forget you! Until we meet again ...

While I didn't know Savannah, I feel like I knew her from all of her devoted friends talking about her. I know her friends are just devastated, and I cannot imagine feeling like that over a best friend. Latch on to her good spirit and take it with you.

Scott you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Can't get you and what you and your family must be going thorough at this trying time. Although I never mat Savannah it sounds like she was a wonderful young lady with a bright future in front of her. I believe that one day we who are God's children will all get to meet her and see her again.
God's Peace my friend...God's Peace
