Sean was a 1999 graduate of Cox High School, a summa cum laude graduate of University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and was completing his MBA program this fall at San Diego State University. Sean's absolute joy in life was infectious. His smile and twinkling blue eyes lit up a room. On Saturday, Aug. 15, a paddle-out service will be held at sunrise on the beach at 47th Street. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Lynnhaven Parkway. This service will be followed by a celebration of Sean's life at the Lesner Inn from 4 to 6 p.m. Sean touched the lives of so many people. His spirit will always sustain us. Taren, I know there are no words that will comfort now. Just know that you are loved by many whose hearts are breaking for you. We never had the opportunity to meet Sean, but because he was loved by you, we know he was a special person. Our love is with you. Our very deepest sympathy to you and Sean’s family. With love, Aunt Lorsie

One of my favorite quotes by Mark Twain. "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place." Sean always provided that sunny spirit whenever he was around. Always making us laugh. We will miss him. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.
