Steven Langreder Obituary
Chesapeake - Steven Patrick Langreder, 56, was taken from us unexpectedly on November 1, 2017. A native of Portsmouth, he was predeceased by his parents, Charles Allen and Judith Smith Langreder; and two brothers, Michael and Christopher. Steve was an outdoorsman his entire life, enjoying Westhaven Little League, softball, hunting, fishing and golf. He is survived by his son Kyle; sister, Kimberly Aston and husband Mark; and long time companion, Katherine "Karen" Mask and her children, Evan and Amanda.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 6, at 11 AM in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com

Kim, I was in shock to hear this and just want to say I'm very sorry for your loss. My best memories of Steve are from many years ago when he was married to my friend Robin. My heart goes out to his son, Kyle, as well. What a terrible loss.
