It's 9 years later in 2024 and I'm just seeing this and saddened by it. Steve was my classmate at NYU Dental. I remember him as always being upbeat with a great sense of humor and wonderful to be around. Hoping he's in a peaceful place.

Dear Leibowitz Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am shocked and saddened to hear of Steve's untimely passing. Something made me think of him tonight so I googled him to see if he was still in NY or had moved full time to Virginia Beach. I am stunned to find out this news.
Steve was a special soul, filled with love for his family, siblings, nieces and nephew, his mom and also his many friends.
I remember him with great fondness. He was so good with kids, including my little son, now 20. Steve was such a caring and generous person whom I'm so glad to have met and shared time with. His kind smile and bright eyes will live with me always. May he rest in peace.

One of the Dahls has been placed as an angel! My condolences to an impressive family! Heaven has gained an excellent dentist and tennis player! My hope is that you see signs knowing he is watching over all of his family here. A very sad and untimely ending to life.
