Thomas B. Campbell Sr.

Thomas B. Campbell, Sr. "Top Cat", 99, of the 1000 block of Willingham Street passed away May 1, 2022.Born in North Carolina, Thomas was the son of the late Corinna Mandley and Harrison Campbell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elsie R. Campbell, siblings, Harvey, Leroy, Andrew, Louise, Sarah, Mary, Margaret and Hattie. Thomas worked as a warehouseman at the Naval Air Station after 34 years of service. He was also self-employed as a landscaper with his company, TCB Landscaping. In addition to this, he received a Master Gardener Certification. Thomas was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as a church deacon and was a member of the choir. He was also fully involved with the church activities and all other affiliations. Left to cherish his precious members are his daughter, Carol McKenzie and Elsa Tiritilli; sons, Thomas B. Campbell, Jr. and Jerry S. Campbell; grandchildren, Chelsea Campbell, Kyrus Campbell, Cullen McKenzie, Aja McKenzie and Brian Kent Campbell. The funeral service will be held, 11am, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Pastor William Davis presiding. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held, 2-6pm, Monday, May 9, 2022 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA 23505.
