Thomas Merritt Obituary
Norfolk - On Thursday, April 21, 2016, Thomas E. Merritt, Jr., 86, entered into eternal rest. He was born to the late Thomas E. Merritt, Sr. and Mary Louise Spruill Merritt. Thomas was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He retired from the City of Norfolk in 2006 after 18 years. Thomas was a long time member of St. Mark's UCC in Berkley and currently a member of Calvary Revival Church and its leadership for over 25 years.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 37 years, Dolly A. Merritt of Norfolk; one sister; seven daughters; four sons; one adopted granddaughter; 26 other grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
Homegoing services will be held at Calvary Revival Church, 5833 Poplar Halls Dr., Norfolk, VA, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11am, Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley.
