When I worked as a legal secretary at Breeden, Howard & MacMillan in the '70s Jeff was always kind and considerate and always treated employees with respect. My late husband was a court reporter who also worked with him and who treasured his friendship.

I had many cases against Jeff over the past 30 years. He always treated my clients with respect. He was a gifted litigator, but more importantly, an honorable attorney who played by the rules and always kept his word.My condolences to his family. Woody Anderson

Jeff was a friend when he and I served on the board of Norfolk Festevents. It was a labor of love. He was always a giver and he gave a lot of his time, legal expertise, and energy to making the fledgling organization run. He was too young to pass away. We all loved him when we worked together.

I've not seen Jeff in years, but always enjoyed our professional inter-action. He was a gifted lawyer. But more importantly, a kind and warm person. He has left us too soon. My sincere condolences.

I met Jeff about 30 years ago. I want to pass on my condolences to his wife and family. I worked on the opposite side on several cases with Jeff. He was an excellent lawyer but more importantly I trusted and respected his word and his honest opinion about cases we handled. I know in the legal community he was respected and liked and his integrity and well mannered approach in an often contentious profession was a testament to not only is ability as a lawyer but his qualities as a kind and thoughtful person. I will miss Jeff and the McMahan family sends its thoughts and prayers to his family. James S MCMahan

Please accept my condolences. I knew Jeff as an excellent lawyer who taught me a valuable concept that has served me over and over in other cases. He was a highly intelligent man of integrity. I pray God's peace upon you.
