Tina Outten

Tina Midgett Outten, 72, of Rodanthe, NC and Chesapeake, VA died Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. A native of Rodanthe, NC, she was the daughter of Lovie O' Neal Midgett and the late Valton Gilbert Midgett of Rodanthe, NC. A loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. Tina enjoyed road trips and cruises with family and friends, spending time with her family, and giving to others. Tina was a poet and the owner of the Pirates of Chicamacomico in Rodanthe. Tina was a member of LaCrosse Memorial Presbyterian Church, Hampton, VA, Sharon United Methodist Church, the Outer Banks Rebekah Lodge and VFW Post 3219 Auxiliary in Phoebus, VA. In addition to her mother, Tina is survived by her husband of 44 years, Paul Arthur Outten; daughter, Paula Decker (David) of Chesapeake, VA; sons, Paul Andrew Outten (Kristen) of Stafford, VA and Jonathan Arthur Outten of Rodanthe, NC; five grandchildren, Christina, Ryleigh, Chance, Lauren (Josh), and Cory; one sister, Connie Virginia Page (Randy) of Chesapeake, VA; as well as many nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Fair Haven United Methodist Church, 24240 Trade Winds Drive, Rodanthe, NC 27968. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hatteras Island Youth Ministry, c/o Pastor Tim Fitch at Fair Haven United Methodist Church, PO Box 378, Rodanthe, NC 27968.
